Apply for a 2009-2010 School Year Loan

Federal Direct Stafford Loan (students)

How to apply:

  1. Complete the FAFSA for 2009-10.
  2. Once you receive your financial aid award letter, go to the student portal at home.apu.edu to accept, reduce, or decline your Direct Stafford Loan.
  3. Complete your Direct Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling online at www.dl.ed.gov.
  4. Complete your Direct Stafford Master Promissory Note (MPN) at www.dlenote.ed.gov.

Federal Direct PLUS Loan (parents)

How to apply:

  1. Complete the FAFSA for 2009-10.
  2. Once your student receives his/her financial aid award letter, complete the Parent PLUS Loan Worksheet.
  3. Complete the Direct Parent PLUS Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) at www.dlenote.ed.gov.
