Rideshare Program

Azusa Pacific University’s Rideshare Program offers many employee commute options, all of which help the university meet its Clean Air Requirements and its contract with the South Coast Air Quality Management District. The following options are available to you:

  • We offer assistance in matching up rideshare partners. We can locate any faculty or staff member who lives in your zip code and provide you with that person’s name and on-campus extension.
  • Every time you use an alternative to driving alone, you can earn $1.50 for that day. Simply turn in the Rideshare Incentive Form by the 5th of each month and you will receive a benefit on your paycheck on the 15th. This applies to anyone who carpools, walks, bicycles, or takes public transportation.*
  • You can earn an extra hour of time off to be used however you would like, to be arranged with your supervisor. All you need to do is use an alternative commute method 20 or more times in one month.**
  • You can also register for a preferred parking space. These spaces, marked “Carpool Only”, are some of the best spaces in each of our main lots. Simply fill out the Carpool Permit Agreement and return it to the rideshare coordinator to receive a preferred parking permit.
  • When you use any of these options, we offer a guaranteed ride home. If you or your rideshare partner has an emergency and needs to leave early, we will provide a way home for you.
  • Participation in the Rideshare Program also qualifies you for our monthly drawings. Prizes include gift certificates from the University Bookstore and Westfield shopping mall!
