Overview
APU’s economics major prepares students to think critically and analytically. Economists study how societies create and distribute value among their members. This major provides a solid grounding in economic principles, statistics, and the economics of religion. These then serve as a framework for in-depth study of labor concerns, financial markets, environmental economics, urban and regional economies, and international trade.
Students then have the option to concentrate on either business economics or international development. Business economics focuses on the economic environment of business and society. International development examines the economic needs of the developing world. Economics majors leave APU with the knowledge they need to make good decisions in a complicated business environment.
