Overview

APU’s Theology major teaches students to deeply understand their Christian faith. The degree provides a foundation in the academic study of the Bible, its history, and doctrines of the ancient and contemporary church.

Philosophy coursework broadens students’ understanding of the world by introducing current and historical interpretations of self, the world, and God. Study in systematic theology provides an orderly, rational framework for Christian belief. These then serve as a biblical, philosophical, and theological context for advanced coursework in apologetics, ethics, and social issues. Theology majors leave APU with an extensive foundation for their Christian belief and the ability to explain it.
